Dr. Barrali, board-certified emergency physician, graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Biomedical Sciences in 1995. He completed his residency in emergency medicine in Phoenix, Arizona in 1999. He went on to the University of Minnesota where he was an associate clinical professor of emergency medicine for three years.
In 2003 he collaborated with colleagues to form Premier Emergency Medical Specialists, a group dedicated to perfecting the art of emergency medicine in Chandler and Gilbert, Arizona. The group grew from 8 to 50 providers, and treated over 1,500,000 patients over the course of 15 years.
During his 20+ years of practice, Dr. Barrali has gained invaluable experience alleviating the pain and suffering of his patients. Despite having plentiful conventional success, he often felt that a distressing number of patients seeking emergency services were not being helped in any meaningful or lasting way. Patients with chronic conditions were either undiagnosed or untreated. They were dissatisfied and disheartened with their primary care doctors and desperate for alternative treatments that were lacking in traditional western medicine. By joining the providers at East West Health and practicing integrative and functional medicine Dr. Barrali has the opportunity to make a meaningful lasting difference in the lives of his patients.
Dr. Barrali has spent time treating patients and teaching local providers during three medical missions to Tanzania and Peru. These were some of the most rewarding and difficult times of his career. If you ask nicely he may even tell you some of his amazing adventures.
