What is the procedure like?
The Nutrient Injection therapy is relatively simple and can be completed within an hour. We collect the nutrients by drawing a small amount of your blood, putting into an FDA cleared device, placing it in a centrifuge and spinning it until the platelets separate from the blood. We keep the plasma and we don’t use the red blood cells. Once the nutrients are separated, they are then transferred to a syringe for injection. We add an activation agent that stimulates the platelets and acts as a scaffold so where we treat your body, the nutrients stay and do not disperse. This allows the healing cascade to be focused in a specific area.
Since the nutrients are a thin serum, it is able to be placed in a narrow needle and therefore is virtually painless. It is then injected into the areas of concern to begin the regeneration of the skin and smooth out wrinkles. It can be administered to as many areas as desired. For our Nutrient Facial, nutrients are applied topically and induced into the skin in-conjunction with a micro-needling treatment. Microscopic needles are used to puncture the dermis, utilizing the skin’s own healing response and, in turn, triggering the production of new collagen. With the micro-needling technique, the nutrient’s restorative properties are introduced deep within the tissue and produces rapid and pronounced improvement of skin texture and tone.
