Shianne has been helping people heal using alternative treatment modalities since 2009, where she began her journey as a Massage Therapist. She received a dual Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, and has expanded her skill in bodywork by becoming certified in Structural Integration. Shianne is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences, where the curriculum has a special emphasis on treatment for orthopedic disorders and utilizing classical Chinese medicine approaches to herbal medicine.

For the past eight years, Shianne has been working in a hospital setting treating individuals with diagnoses that range from Dementia to addiction and PTSD. Her experience with Inpatient mental health has piqued her interest in exploring the inextricable link between the impact of physical illness on mental health, and vice versa. When she is not working or learning something new, Shianne enjoys rock climbing, practicing yoga, reading, and hiking with her dog.
